​Romick & Associates, Inc. has been serving the real estate community in northwest Colorado since 1981. Our experience ranges from ranch development-master planning, resort development communities, ranch resource management, conservation easements and general real estate helping Buyers and Sellers. The firm’s focus has been evolving over the years to include eco-sensitive developments creating a balance of ranching, amenities, wildlife, riparian habitat, forest and forage management, stream restoration and enhancement, all in proper communion with the human inhabitants.

The company was a pioneer in the development of the current Routt County land planning process, Land Preservation Subdivisions (LPS), along with completing the first and only Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) transaction in Routt County between The Flying Diamond Ranch and Alpine Mountain Ranch, allowing the Ranch to sell development rights, and forever protect the Ranch, to the development to increase density in this growth area. 

In more recent years we have focused on orchestrating and completing the perpetual conservation on over 20,000 acres in Routt County. We’ve worked with The Nature Conservancy, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Colorado Cattleman’s AG Land Trust, Routt County Purchase of Development Rights, Great Outdoors Colorado, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Along with the many professional endeavors, we have to admit our true passion is ranching and raising cattle and horses. Having a diverse education and hard work over the years has given us the knowledge needed to own and run a large ranch using proper resource management. We respect the habitat, water and all other natural resources that make our County such a treasure!
